Earlier this year, BIOMAP hosted an engaging Psoriasis and Eczema Patient & Public Webinar to share research updates in these areas. The video recordings from the event are now available here.

About BIOMAP

BIOMAP (Biomarkers in Atopic Dermatitis and Psoriasis) is a European Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) project, which brings together academic and industry groups to address unmet needs in treating eczema and psoriasis.

Patient & Public Webinar

The psoriasis and eczema patient and public webinar took place online, earlier this year. The event was free-to-attend and open to the general public.

The session, which was aimed at those living with psoriasis and eczema, provided attendees an opportunity to explore the day-to-day impact of these conditions with valuable insights from leading experts.

The busy agenda covered a range of questions, including:

• What is BIOMAP?
• Why do eczema and psoriasis vary from person to person?
• Why do some people get more severe disease?
• How does our skin microbiome contribute to eczema?
• What’s happening in the skin when it’s inflamed?

The event was rounded off with a Q&A session, where attendees were given the chance to ask questions and share their thoughts.
