All Wales Medicines Strategy Group - Patient and Public Interest Group (PAPIG)

The All Wales Medicines Strategy Group (AWMSG) are hosting a free to attend, virtual Patient and Public Interest Group (PAPIG) meeting.

The event will take place online on Tuesday 18 March 2025 from 10:00-11:15. You can register for the event here.

The All Wales Medicines Strategy Group (AWMSG) would like to hear from patients as part of the medicines appraisal process and to hear patients views on medicines optimisation resources.

The Patient and Public Interest Group (PAPIG) was set up in 2013 with the aim of involving patients, carers and patient organisations in the work of AWMSG.

Presentations at the meeting include:

  • The updated AWMSG medicines assessment process - and how you can propose a medicine for consideration
  • Interventions not normally available on the NHS – what are they, what are the circumstances when they may be offered and how do people find out about them?

The AWMSG are very keen to hear the views and experiences of patients and carers and so there will be time for discussion and questions at the end of the session.

If you would like to attend the upcoming PAPIG meeting please register online or by emailing awttc@wales.nhs.uk.

You can find out more about the work of AWMSG and how patients, carers and patient organisations can get involved on their website at https://awttc.nhs.wales/

We hope you are able to attend and have your voice heard!
