I have been given this foam cream, I’ve always used it on my body but my doctors told me to use it on my scalp ….. the problem is I have my hair bleached (blonde highlights) I’m very reluctant too as I really take my hair health serious. Is they’re any organic stuff anyone has found help with psoriasis on your scalp?

My Doctor told me not to have my hair highlighted as treatments for psoriasis could alter the colour so basically a waste of money. I’ve had it for about 5 years on my scalp and after losing a lot of hair on top of my head, I’m currently on Ciclosporine. After using lots of things, I have used Enstillar. Awful stuff, so messy and leaves hair very greasy. I’ve recently seen an NHS consultant and she said to stop using all the prescribed shampoos and steroid and to try Aveeno shampoo for dry scalp or Eucerin shampoo. I’ve tried the latter and just received the Aveeno. I’ve tried scalp oil , coconut oil and goats shampoo thinking they were more natural and better for me, but they didn’t do much tbh. What works for some people obviously didn’t work for me. It is trial and error I think re shampoo. The Enstillar did help initially but then didn’t. I’m coping with the Ciclosporine and my hair is growing in quite thickly but I’m not sure what happens when I come off it. Trying not to think too far ahead!

My scalp psoriasis has been clear for about 2/3 years and have only just started to make an appearance, so I don’t see it as a waste of money as I’ve always refused to use the prescribed scalp treatment as I take my hair health very seriously and only use organic stuff on my scalp and hair so any prescription for my psoriasis on my scalp will never be used. That’s why I was asking if they’re any organic stuff people have tried that they felt helped. I’m on injection for my psoriasis but lately myself and my doctor are under the impression that it’s no longer working and I’m already on the highest dose and this injection is the last injection I can go on as I’ve tried everything else. I’m no longer 90% covered, and will do anything and everything to keep it under control so it don’t go that way again but I have quite thick hair so my scalp is a hard area to treat. I only have a very few spots on my scalp but that alone knowing how bad it was before stresses me out that it could go back that way. I’ve only ever found enstilar to work on my skin psoriasis and it helps keep the patches at bay but you can only use it for a certain amount of week. Within that time it comes back. It just really frustrating, it like a non ending battle you finally think you’ve found the treatment that work and bam it back with revenge. I just feel like my option are thin, and I’m terrified of being 90% covered again because it was hell on earth mentally and physically. I appreciate your advice, having this community and being able to speak to people who also know the struggle is so helpful and such an amazing out let for me! X
